Terms of service

Last updated 1 August 2026

Draft. These terms describe how the service currently operates but have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the contracting entity below is incomplete. They should be finalised before the service is offered commercially.

Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Glademap covering your use of Glademap. By creating an account you accept them.

The beta period

We are not charging for the service yet. We are running a closed beta with a small number of venues we invite directly; your access during this period is free. Features may change, and we may impose reasonable limits on storage or usage to keep the service running for everyone. When we do start charging, we will give existing venues advance notice before any paid plan applies to them.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens under your account. A venue's owner controls who else is invited and what role they have. Do not share accounts between people — invite them instead.

Your content

The content you add — points of interest, descriptions, photos, boundaries and category definitions — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, process it and serve it to visitors of your published map.

You confirm that you have the right to publish what you upload, including photographs and any third-party material such as artwork images.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content;
  • impersonate a venue or organisation you are not authorised to represent;
  • attempt to access another venue's data or disrupt the service for others;
  • send automated traffic to the service beyond ordinary use of the map.

New venues are reviewed before their public map goes live. We may suspend or remove a venue that breaches these terms.

Availability

During the beta the service is provided as is, with no guarantee it will always be available. We take backups and operate the service carefully, but you should not rely on it as the only copy of your records — keep your own.

Third-party map data

Maps use satellite imagery and place labels from third-party providers, subject to their own terms and attribution requirements. Availability of that imagery is outside our control.

Ending it

You can delete your venue at any time from its settings, which stops the public map immediately. We may end your access if these terms are breached. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is nothing. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
